Patrick J. Fehring

Patrick J. Fehring
Patrick Fehring is a Co-founder of Level One Bank and has more than three decades of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Level One, Fehring spent over 25 years at Fifth Third Bank, advancing through various management positions. Fehring served nearly five years as President of Fifth Third Bank in the Eastern Michigan market, following a decade as President of the Central Ohio region.

Fehring is an active leader in the local community, currently serving as a Board member of the Detroit Regional Chamber, Detroit Regional Chamber Foundation, Detroit Public Television and Archdiocese of Detroit Endowment. Fehring has previously been involved as a board member and volunteer with New Detroit, Detroit Renaissance, United Way, Farmington-Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families and the American Heart Association of Southeast Michigan.

Fehring earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Miami University in Ohio.
Lani Barrett
Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Lani Barrett
Lani Barrett joined Level One’s executive team in 2018 with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Level One, Barrett served as SVP, Director of Human Resources Business Partners at Flagstar Bank and in various leadership and Human Resources roles at Comerica Bank.

Barrett graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration and Management.
Timothy R. Mackay
Executive Vice President, Consumer Banking Officer
Timothy R. Mackay
Timothy R. Mackay joined Level One’s executive team in 2013. Mackay has over 20 years of bank leadership experience and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Bank’s Consumer Banking Division, including retail banking, small business banking and residential mortgage lending.

Mackay is a graduate of Leadership Detroit and currently serves as a Board Member for the March of Dimes of Metropolitan Detroit. Previously, Mackay was actively involved with the United Way of Southwest Michigan and served as a Board Member for the Salvation Army in Kalamazoo.

Mackay graduated from Hope College with a B.A. in Business Administration.
Eva Scurlock
Executive Vice President, Risk Management Officer
Eva Scurlock
Eva Scurlock is a Co-Founder of Level One Bank. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with an extensive background in credit and compliance risk management.

Scurlock is a Co-Founder and active volunteer of Emma’s Angels, a charitable organization that provides various food programs for residents in four counties throughout Michigan. She is also an active Partner and supporter of Cornerstone Schools. Scurlock was selected by Crain’s Detroit Business as a ’40 Under 40’ Honoree in 2013 and received the Top 10 Michigan Business Women Award (Giving Spirit Award) from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Detroit Chapter in 2014.

Scurlock earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
David C. Walker

David C. Walker
David Walker joined Level One’s executive team in 2009 after 24 years at GMAC, where he oversaw global funding as Group Vice President and Treasurer. Earlier positions included Director of Liability Management, Director of U.S. Funding and Securitization and Chief Financial Officer of the GMAC Mortgage Group.

Walker graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics and economics. He also earned an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Gregory A. Wernette
Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Corporate Secretary
Gregory A. Wernette
Gregory Wernette is a Co-Founder of Level One Bank and serves on the executive team as the Bank’s Chief Lending Officer. Wernette began his banking career more than 30 years ago and has broad experience in commercial lending, treasury management services, credit administration, and bank management.

Wernette serves as chairman for the Board of Directors for the Farmington Family YMCA, vice-chairman for the Board of Visitors of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University, and board member for the YMCA of Metro Detroit. He is a member of the Independent Community Bankers Association, the Detroit chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Detroit Athletic Club.

Wernette earned his BSBA degree in finance from Central Michigan University. He received his MBA, with a concentration in accounting, from Wayne State University.
